Mom's Day looms and the Mobley gals are ready to celebrate our iconic Mom... well, hopefully Mom will also be ready. Usually Mom is the best party animal especially when the party occurs on her territory and remains within her control.  My sis and I have each inherited these characteristics tempered by our personal situations.  For example, my best events are held for my girlfriends without immediate intervention. Sis is much more a free spirit and this comes out with themes and inspiration from her spouse.  What does this say?  I don't know but Mom has served as a great example of hospitality and generousity when we get together for whatever occasion.  Thanks Mom for yet another lesson in what is important.

How many people read their daily horoscopes?  I do religiously but usually don't put any credence into the value.  Recently, I read my Sag prediction in a magazine and it closely resembled a daily horoscope in our local newspaper.  The reason I even paid attention was that they addressed an area of my life that has caused me much concern lately.  One the predictions even listed a date when I would even have a positive answer to a critical concern.  Without dwelling too much on exactly what area, let me just say all of a sudden I was feeling much more believing.  I should note at this that I do think that all of us are intimately connected to the universe and heavenly signs can foretell events or trends.  These readings, however, are not found in the local papers, even if Brezny's forecasts seem so believable.  As the day in question loomed, I tried to distance myself.  I was on another level praying --please, please, please, let it be so!  No, I didn't light candles or burn a sacrifice; I did tell my sister and a few friends laughing at the very iidea.  The prediction did not work out for this Sag, at least at the level I had hoped.  What did happen?  The universe provided an answer for me on my concern in the form of good advice.  For this I am very grateful and thank the heavens for reminding me that powers are at work. I also must be open to answers that I may not necessarily find appealing...

OK-- I'm the queen of procrastination; I admit it!  However, my thoughts have been rehearsing for this kickoff blog.  Really!  Rather than dwell on why I feel I must procrastinate, I'd rather believe ruminating before setting words to blog will produce a better message.  Let's talk about here and now!I have found a new "career" after retirement and am once again developing a "business plan" for my immediate future.  This includes  all you would expect -- budget, goals -- short and long, recruiting, and finally kick off.  Those who know me well are probably wondering why am I jumping  into fire from my already hot skillet... the business plan really represents my life plan with major changes coming.  I can't believe I've really put that out to my audience.  Stay tuned for the plan details as they develop; it's all very nebulous now.  Let's just say the horizon includes a large rock and the sound of waves as background music.Stay tuned!
